2012 was a fantastic year for San Carlo Group. From our menu development visits across Italy to joining forces with celebrity chef Aldo Zilli, the group strived to keep improving; ensuring our dishes remain authentic and our fresh, Italian-sourced ingredients remain the best. Flamboyant Italian born chef Aldo Zilli toured group restaurants north to south adding a creative dash and introducing specially created dishes. He helped get our second London restaurant, Cicchetti, at 215 Piccadilly, off to an incredible start and continues to fly the flag for the group, its ethos and aspirations. 2012 also saw the launch of the group’s first venture into Asia with Signor Sassi Bangkok opening at the exclusive Anantara Hotel and our latest concept and cicchetti bar San Carlo Fumo opened its doors at Waterloo St, Birmingham. 2012 was another award winning year with Fumo and Cicchetti scooping top titles, bringing the group’s tally of awards to twenty.
Most importantly, along the way, the group shared its primary passion – great food and drink with friends old and new, family and loved ones. Your continued support is what made 2012 a success and the group thanks you. Recognition and thanks must also go to our employees for their hard work and dedication.
