San Carlo Champagne Bar is delighted to introduce an elegant new afternoon tea menu, now available in the heart of Selfridges at the Trafford Centre.
Bringing together the timeless tradition of afternoon tea with the Italian style and hospitality of San Carlo, the new menu features beautifully presented savoury bites, a traditional fruit scone, delicate pastries and a choice of tea.
Guests can also elevate the experience with Champagne, creating the perfect occasion for celebrations, leisurely afternoons and a well-deserved pause during a day of shopping.

Created as an indulgent afternoon experience, each afternoon tea is served on an individual tower and brings together a carefully balanced selection of savoury and sweet flavours.
Begin with assorted savoury bites before enjoying a traditional fruit scone with jam and clotted cream. The experience is completed with a selection of pastries and your choice of tea, including English Breakfast, Earl Grey, peppermint, chamomile and green tea.
Presented in the elegant surroundings of San Carlo Champagne Bar, the new menu offers a refined way to enjoy an afternoon at Selfridges Trafford.

Afternoon Tea with a Touch of Champagne
For an added sense of occasion, guests can choose the Champagne Tea experience, served with a glass of Champagne alongside the full Afternoon Tea selection.
Guests can also upgrade to a glass of Veuve Clicquot Brut or Veuve Clicquot Rosé, adding an extra celebratory touch to the afternoon.
From birthdays and special occasions to relaxed catch-ups with friends, the new experience has been designed for moments worth taking time over.
Handmade Sweet Treats
Desserts and pastries sit at the heart of the new afternoon tea, bringing an Italian flourish to this much-loved British tradition.
The wider menu also features handmade desserts from the San Carlo in-house Italian pâtisserie, including Torta Millefoglie, Torta al Pistacchio and Torta Setteveli.
Paired with tea or Champagne, each element brings together elegant presentation, Italian craftsmanship and indulgent flavour.

The launch also introduces a new collection of freshly prepared focaccia sandwiches, ideal for lunch or a relaxed shopping break.

- Smoked Salmon Focaccia with rocket and lime mayonnaise
- Bresaola, Rocket and Shaved Grana Focaccia

- Caprese Focaccia with mozzarella, tomato and oregano

The sandwiches sit alongside Italian antipasti, seasonal salads and sharing plates, expanding the Champagne Bar’s all-day dining offering.

Located in the Accessories Hall on the lower level of Selfridges Trafford, San Carlo Champagne Bar offers a stylish setting for Champagne, cocktails and relaxed Italian-inspired dining.
Guests can settle into table seating or take a place at the marble bar beneath the venue’s distinctive bubble chandelier, handcrafted in the Veneto region of Italy.
The new afternoon tea provides another reason to pause, unwind and enjoy a little indulgence during a visit to the Trafford Centre.
