October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time when communities come together to support those affected by breast cancer, raise awareness about the disease, and fundraise for research. This year, we’re introducing a special cocktail that not only delights your taste buds but also contributes to a vital cause. Meet Rosa, a cocktail created with care and garnished with a whimsical touch of pink candy floss.

For every Rosa cocktail sold, £2 goes directly to a charity focused on breast cancer prevention. By enjoying this special cocktail, you’re contributing to critical research and support services for those affected by breast cancer.

The Cicchetti menu is ever-changing, with specials refreshed to embrace the seasons. Our current summer menu, which has been inspired by local dishes found across the island of Italy, are here to help you experience a taste of summer, even if the weather has other ideas.

Our summer menu features dishes such as the Porchetta and Stracciatella, a cold dish of slow-cooked pork paired with creamy stracciatella and pistachio nuts. Or, Indulge in our Tagliolini Crab and Caviar, a combination of tagliolini served with hand-picked crab and topped with the finest Italian sturgeon caviar.

Finished your Cicchetti experience with a something sweet. Indulge Torta Pistacchio, a delicious Pistachio mousse cake, bursting with the flavours reminiscent of an Italian summer.

No matter your preferences, our Cicchetti venues offer a variety of dishes to excite your palate. Visit our locations in Manchester, London, and Birmingham (referred to as Fumo).

Available nationally at all San Carlo locations, including Cicchetti, Fumo, Isola, Alto, and Signor Sassi, we have meticulously curated and enhanced our summer menu to provide guests with an Italian summer-inspired experience.

Each dish is a blend of pride and passion, showcasing the freshest seasonal ingredients sourced directly from Italy. The summer menu boasts a diverse selection, featuring fresh seafood, succulent meats, delightful vegetarian options, as well as a variety of pasta and pizza dishes.

Some highlights from the A la Carte, San Carlo menus include:

  • Burrata e Pomodoro: Burrata from Corato in Puglia served with marinated beef tomato carpaccio & fresh basil (v)
  • Culatello: Italy’s renowned cured meat from Bassa Verdiana, with a sweet and delicate flavour
  • Gnocchetti Pasta Melanzane e Salsiccia: Sardinian-style gnocchetti pasta with aubergine and pork sausage ragu
  • Lemon Sole with Clams and Asparagus: Pan-fried lemon sole with sautéed clams and green asparagus
  • Linguine Scallops and Caviar: Linguine pasta with scallops, Italian sturgeon caviar, and saffron cream sauce
  • Prosciutto, Melone e Mozzarella: Cantaloupe melon, mozzarella di bufala, Parma ham & crushed pistachio nuts

We’re loving the lighter nights, sunshine and all the fresh ingredients that the new season offers and our chefs have been developing menus to reflect the warmer months.

Using the finest produce flown in from the markets of Milan, delicious flavoursome dishes bring a taste of the colourful Italian Summer to every plate.
The San Carlo Group kitchen team, led by Executive Chef Filippo Pagani, has expertly matched vegetables, salads, herbs and fruits such as artichoke, broad beans, peas, white radicchio, mint and parsley and combined them with main ingredients of the highest quality from cod, scallops and seabass to beef and pork.

 

At Cicchetti Manchester you can now enjoy new creations including:

  • Carpaccio of beef marinated in red wine with artichoke and beetroot dressing
  • Beef Calabrese with Sicilian tomato tartare and Stracciatella (the creamy part of burrata) from Puglia
  • Cod Sapporo – Venetian cod dish marinated for 48 hours with red onion, brown sugar, white wine vinegar
  • Spaghetti alla Cipolla – 24 hours in the making, a traditional comfort food with onion and monks beard from Tuscany
  • Pan fried scallop with pea and mint risotto
  • White radicchio salad with vinaigrette, Italian eggs, bacon and red onion
  • Mashed broad bean, Parmesan, mint and basil on grilled bread with matured salted ricotta from Southern Italy
  • Black salt baked seabass – whole fillet with peppercorns, lemon and parsley

 

Sensational new dishes at Fumo Manchester include the ‘Affumicati Fumo’ smoked specials presented under a glass cloche:

Our menus change with the seasons to reflect our food philosophy – using only the best, seasonal produce and allowing those ingredients to shine. Alpheratz, Andromeda’s brightest star is based on a Black Forest Gateaux, rich, creamy and more-ish … Christmas is the time for indulgence after all!

The Centaurus is a real decadent drink of Buffalo trace, gingerbread syrup, butterscotch syrup, lemon juice and Agave, served with a side of Amaretto biscuits.

Asta, Libran and Sagittarius also ‘star’ on the new cocktail menu – and all are ready to be prepared and served by our Italian bar team at Bottega.
