We’re offering House of Fraser Manchester customers a free glass of Prosecco at our Cicchetti or Bottega restaurants this month.

All you have to do to receive your complimentary fizz is spend £50 in the Deansgate department store during December, then bring your receipt to a member of our Italian bar team at Cicchetti on the Lower Ground Floor or Bottega on Level 2 – and we will pour you a Prosecco.

So whether you’re shopping for yourself or someone else, spend in House of Fraser and let us treat you … why not order some delicious Italian cicchetti to enjoy when you visit us too!

On top of its chic refurbishment, Cicchetti Manchester has launched its new winter menu, hosting a media lunch for more than 10 of the city’s well-known press and restaurant critics.

As with all of our food, dishes have been created from the freshest seasonal ingredients sourced directly from the markets of Milan and showcase the very finest in regional Italian cuisine.

The winter offering features a mix of classic favourites such as pigeon breast paté with black truffle and toasted Altamura bread and exciting additions including Venetian cod baked in an iron pot with onions and parmesan and Bruschetta with pumpkin, onion and salted ricotta.

San Carlo Cicchetti reinterprets the delightful Venetian culinary custom of cicchetti; delicious small plate dishes designed to share or eat alone. The Autumn/Winter menu is available now in Cicchetti and Fumo, Manchester.

New dishes include:

  • Venetian Salt cod croquettes with lemon mayonnaise
  • Salmon and beetroot Carpaccio with pistachio pesto
  • Pappardelle Castagne with wild boar ragu & chestnut
  • Slow roasted pork belly with winter spices, potato and cabbage
  • Purple broccoli fried with onions, breadcrumbs, garlic and Altamura bread

And specials:

  • Pumpkin & truffle risotto
  • Venison with pearl barley, onion and Parmesan
  • Cheese and truffle dumplings served in a chicken broth
  • Fried small Sicilian red prawns with whitebait zucchini

Viva Manchester

Taste of Manchester

We look forward to welcoming you to the all new Cicchetti Manchester soon!

Cicchetti Manchester has been refurbished this month, giving the stylish bar and Italian tapas restaurant a sparkling new look for Winter.

Opening on 15th November 2010, located on the Ground Floor of House of Fraser, the Manchester venue was the first to launch under the San Carlo Group Cicchetti brand – and since that day five years ago, there’s rarely been a spare stool at the exquisite Italian marble bar.

Those iconic yellow stools are now a light aqua blue – in line with our Bottega restaurant, cocktail and Champagne bar at Selfridges, Manchester and Cicchetti Covent Garden – and the all-day dining venue has been given a light and airy, yet warm and welcoming contemporary update.

Earlier this year we announced our franchise agreement with Al Jaber Hospitality and Catering Group to launch a new San Carlo Cicchetti in Qatar – and we’re delighted to confirm an opening date of 10th November.

We are very excited about our latest venture – a 150-cover restaurant and bar in Shoumoukh Towers, a prestigious mixed-use development in the heart of Doha – and are looking forward to expanding the Cicchetti brand into the world’s richest country.

We’re now serving Galvanina soft drinks at our San Carlo restaurants across the UK.

Presented in delicately embossed, beautifully crafted bottles, the 100% natural fruit drinks not only look stylish but taste delicious too – and Galvanina is, like us, an award-winning family-run Italian so our brands are perfect together!

Made from the finest organic fruit juices and naturally filtered, gently sparkling spring water, these fresh blends bring you a real taste of Italy, wherever you are in the world.

Visit San Carlo Group soon and enjoy the perfect Italian refreshment with a perfect Italian meal. We recommend the sharp yet sweet Sicilian Lemon Galvanina.

Our white truffles have arrived from Alba, Italy and Group Executive Chef Filippo Pagani and his experienced team have been creating the most delicious and indulgent recipes.

Filippo explains: “The truffle has a unique and intense aroma so the secret to enjoying it is to avoid using with other strong flavours. Truffle is best served as an antipasti or over pasta as shards with butter and parmigiano reggiano cheese.”

Tagliolini with butter and Alba white Truffle is now available at our Cicchetti restaurants in Covent Garden and Piccadilly London.

Look out for the new truffle dishes on our seasonal specials menus nationwide.

We’ve launched our new Autumn/Winter seasonal menus at San Carlo Cicchetti, Fumo and Bottega in Selfridges this month.

Featuring tasty, comforting, hearty dishes perfect for the colder months ahead, creations already proving popular in Manchester include Black Etna Risotto with Calabrian n’duja sausage and lentils and Veal Milanese, named after the city of Milano, pan-fried in breadcrumbs.

The Cicchetti restaurants in London are enjoying the Venison with pearl barley, onion and Parmesan and Fumo Birmingham diners are loving our Pappardelle Cipriani with wild boar ragu.

Don’t worry if you had a favourite dish on our Spring/Summer menu – the classics are still present including our famous Pigeon Breast Pate with black truffle and toasted altamura bread.

We look forward to welcoming you soon!

“By Cicchetti’s own admission, “The Italians are great at many things but the English still serve the best breakfast in the world.” It’s probably why the chic all-day Italian restaurant in Covent Garden has nodded to the traditional English cooked breakfast: two eggs, smoked bacon, two Lancashire farm pork and leek sausages and the extra special addition of black pudding from Bury. But if you still want a taste of la dolce vite, indulge in one of their breakfast cocktails: perhaps a breakfast Bellini or Martini.”
